Bicycle Give-Away Program

In December, the Norco Kiwanis Club gave away over 70 bicycles and helmets to disadvantaged youths in the Norco and Mira Loma areas.

The Norco Kiwanis Club would like to thank the City of Norco and the staff of the Sixth Street Fire Station for letting us use their community facility for the distribution of the bikes.

About the program

Each year, the Norco Kiwanis club collects used, unwanted bicycles and delivers them to the California Institute for Women, located near Corona and Chino. There, inmates take the bikes apart and prepare them for refurbishing.

The women gather new and used parts to create near-new bicycles. The prison then returns the bicycles to the Kiwanis club (and other charitable organizations) so that they can be given to children in need.

The Norco Kiwanis Club also donates $1,000 annually for new spare parts.

If you wish to donate your old, unwanted bike, please contact

Dale Borgen (951) 371-1999
